En el estado de Nuevo León, se desarrolló el FORO SEGURIDAD, SALUD Y MEDIO AMBIENTE 2017, donde la Delegación de PROFEPA en el Estado, impartió la conferencia del Programa Nacional de Auditoría Ambiental y Certificación de Industria Limpia, el foro fue dirigido a miembros de la Asociación de Maquiladoras en el Estado de Nuevo León, A.C. (INDEX Nuevo León) a la que asistieron 45 empresas del sector Manufacturero, el objetivo fue dar a conocer a detalle el proceso bajo el cual opera el Programa Nacional de Auditoría Ambiental, así como las normas aplicables en el mismo. El Programa Nacional de Auditoría Ambiental, tiene alrededor de 2,000 empresas certificadas, es decir que a 25 años de que inició su verificación, este Programa ha incrementado y reafirmando su esencia, que es la prevención y mejora de Desempeño Ambiental de la Industria Manufacturera y de transformación de México.
